Alvar Aalto tea cart, the top has white tiles in a wooden frame. The design originated from 1937. White Birchwood in very good condition, wear consistent with age and use, circa 1960 by Artek, Finland. Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto was born in 1898 in Helsinki, Finland and passed away in 1976 Finland. He was a Finnish architect and designer. In 1916, he studied architecture at the Helsinki University of Technology. His work includes architecture, furniture, textiles, glassware, sculptures and paintings. His furniture designs are considered as Scandinavian Modern. Aalto plays an influential role in bringing Modern Art to the knowledge of the Finish people.
